Our Killegland building, is open from 7.30 to 6pm each day.
We are open all year round apart from the Christmas period. We are closed on December 24th and reopen on January 2nd each year. We are also closed on bank holidays & Good Friday.
We offer full day care for children aged from 8 months up to age 4.5 / 5 when they start primary school. We include the ECCE scheme for all our pre-school aged children attending our full day care service. We also provide sessional ECCE scheme 3 hour classes and a before/after school service for our School Aged children.
Koalas and Pandas: 8 months – 2 years
Our baby and wobbler rooms are designed to provide a warm, cozy, and stimulating environment for our tiniest tots. These rooms are suitably equipped with a variety of age appropriate toys designed for sensory stimulation, discovery and play. To help your child’s development the daily routine is tailored around the individual needs of each child, incorporating music and songs, stories, and fun. Our ‘Let’s Explore’ programme for babies and one year old wobblers is designed to stimulate their curiosity and promote growth and development through a variety of play and sensory experiences. Activities include dress-up, messy play, music and songs, story-time and arts & crafts and lots of fun outdoors in their own safe, fun environment.
Brown Bears and Clever Cats: 2-3 years
Our ‘Discover and Learn’ programme for our active two year olds are tailor made to enhance their learning experience.
We encourage social, emotional, language, and cognitive development through a range of activities specific to the child’s growing independence.
Our Brown Bears and Clever Cats enjoy lots of outdoor play in our gardens, where they have lots of space to explore and play.
We offer sessional Montessori Pre-School classes (Free ECCE) from September until June each year. We follow St. Mary’s school calendar for this building. There are four ECCE sessions each day:
There is an option for “Extended Afternoons”, where your child can stay and play until 13.45. This extra time after ECCE class may be subsidised by the NCS scheme. Check www.ncs.gov.ie to see if you are eligible for discounts off your fees.
Wise Owls, Kangaroos, Buttercups and Sunflowers
Our ‘It’s our World’ programme for our pre-schoolers aged three and upwards incorporates a play based and Montessori curriculum with a wide range of subjects such as language, maths, practical life, sensorial learning and culture.
We balance this programme with activities such as music & movement, dress-up, story time, arts & crafts, cooking, and much more.
Our ‘After-School Club’ for school aged children provides a relaxed environment, within which to wind down after their day in school.
We provide a collection service to and from St. Mary’s School in our Killegland building. Our Breakfast Club opens at 7:30am until we drop the children to school. Children either walk to/from school, or may travel in our minibus. Children are collected at their finish time from school and can stay up until 6pm closing time.
Our children enjoy a home cooked meal, have supervised homework time, and also take part in our busy after-school programme which includes a huge variety of sports, fun based class activities and games, arts & crafts, cooking, gardening, and plenty of outdoor play.
We offer full day childcare, when your child has a day off school, half days and on school breaks, ie mid-term, Easter, Christmas and Summer holidays.
Our After-School club in Killegland is for children from Junior Infants to Second Class. After this they move to our older group in ETNS School.
